1. Information We Collect
Free2Party uses Firebase Authentication to manage your account. This includes your email address and profile name. We also store event data and preferences you create within the app using Firebase Firestore.
2. Location Data
We access and process location information to provide and improve the features of Free2Party:
- Types of Location Data: We may access your device's Approximate Location (non-precise, using network/cell tower data) and Precise Location (precise, using GPS/network coordinates) through your device's location permissions.
- How We Use It: Your device's current location is used solely to calculate the distance to nearby events and to sort the event list by proximity. This data is processed ephemerally in your device's memory and is never stored on our servers. When you create an event, the event location you manually search for or select is stored securely in our database to be displayed to other users.
- Sharing & Retention: We do not share your device's real-time location with any third parties or advertisers. The real-time coordinates of your device are processed in memory and not retained. Event locations you manually create are stored in our database for the duration of the event.
- User Control: You can grant or revoke location permissions at any time through your device's settings. If denied, the app remains functional, but events will be sorted by date and time instead of proximity.
3. How We Use Data
Your data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app: managing events, tracking budgets, and syncing your data across your devices.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption through Firebase services to protect your data. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the app settings. For more details, see our Delete Account instructions.
